Where does the time go?

My AeroGarden plants are sort of eating into my blogging time and my drawing time both. But at the same time, they are my inspiration to learn more about drawing plants. Botanical drawing has always interested me, but I just never got around to learning it.

As for blogging, I've started a blog just for the plants. It is called Ann's Air Gardens and if you like plants, please check it out.

The name comes from the fact that my plants are mostly aeroponic, that is instead of living in dirt, the roots hang in the air, with water circulating around them. The water is really a nutrient solution, as it has liquid plant food in it. I think this method is going to revolutionize home gardening.

A New Graphics Pad, Wheee!

The non-name cheapo graphics pad I had been using at our vacation place was one we found in a scratch and dent bin at the salvage store for $25. It was slow, but it worked good for the price. Well, I am glad to say it finally bit the dust a few weeks back, so I upgraded to another Wacom Intuos 3 same as at my studio. Wahoo. I go pick it up from the mail drop today.

Lately I Have Been Expressing my Creativity in the Kitchen

Somebody has to do it and eating some of my concoctions make it almost worth the effort. It is all the plant's fault. We bought one of those dirtless computerized flower pots they advertise on TV and put it next to the kitchen counter. These puppies use happy light technology so they are a joy to be around even when the plants are microscopic. But stuff grows so fast in those little pod holes, that the plants do not stay tiny for long.

Don't worry, I'll be back to the drawing board soon, but just remember, Even Artists Have to Eat!

No, Take Anything Else, but not my Math License!

I just found out you can get your math license revoked for having a liberal arts major.

SOURCE: YIKES

Oh, and that crazy cat Borracho stole my identity again and is over Beta-testing on Google's apparently defunct Mash social networking site. It is still invitation only and although I think they may have already told him "No Cats!" he ran off with all my credentials and is using them to pad himself a little nest over there. I couldn't bear to tell him there is pretty much nothing happening over there anymore, so I made him a little space on Yahoo 360 degrees instead. I'm not happy that they want to know his age, gender, and location, though. It is like, "Why does anyone need to know this?" They want to steal my cat's identity? He's a cartoon character for Heaven's Sake!

Yeah, and if they yank my math license, Borracho and I are both gonna be in deep trouble. How will we drive our Mathobiles? Uh-oh, another surreal cartoon pokes its head into the teeny space between my ears. Inspiration has struck again...
